The team at Capfina has been kicking around the idea for a while now of taking a little bit of social time together periodically. We’ve talked about simply going to a restaurant, or playing mini-golf or some such thing.
However, when the opportunity arose to participate in a volunteer project together, everyone in the office thought it a great idea. So on Friday, June 12th, we closed up shop in the early afternoon to head out to Keizer Rapids Park and help in the community build of The Big Toy.
We each volunteer in the community in different ways, but this provided an opportunity for us to make a difference together. Among the four of us, 36 hours of labor was contributed that afternoon and over the weekend in what seemed like a once in a generation opportunity to provide something lasting for the children of our community.
We’re proud of our community, and enjoy the opportunity to give back!
